We were approached by Wentworth Woodhouse which has the largest frontage of any stately have in the UK to restore the five early Victorian lanterns along the frontage of the house.
We cleaned and removed old putty.
And then sandblasted with glass grit.
And discovered the lantern was made of copper, brass and cast lead. We then repaired castings and resoldered.
We reassembled and installed a new waterproof lighting chuster. The lantern was painted and we reglazed with our own produced Georgian style glass that has an irregular surface.
